Notifications of Copyright Infringement

Covad Communications Company and its affiliated companies respect the copyright and other intellectual property rights of others and we ask our content providers to do the same. Covad may in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, disable and/or terminate the accounts of content providers who may be infringing the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and made available through our web site, a web site hosted by us or that of an affiliated company, and you wish to notify us of an alleged infringement, please contact the agent designated below and include the following information in your correspondence or notification:

  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyrighted work;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, and if there is more than one, a list of such works;
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit Covad or any of its affiliated companies to locate the material;
  • A statement by the holder of the copyright that he or she has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by himself or herself, or their agent, or the law;
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
