Covad.net Email Setup for Eudora on Windows

Click on Tools then Personalities



Highlight Persona and right click your mouse to display the drop down menu, then select Properties.



Enter your name as you would like it to appear on your outgoing messages in the Real Name field. Type your full covad.net email address in the Email Address field. Type your username without the @covad.net in the User Name Field. For the SMTP Server, field you may use either smtp.covad.net or mail.covad.net. Ensure that the box Authentication allowed is checked. In the Default Domain field, type covad.net. Once you have completed these fields, click the Incoming Mail tab at the top of the window.



For the Server field you may use either mail.covad.net or pop.covad.net. Click the radio button to select POP. Ensure under Authentication style, the option for Passwords is selected. Click OK to complete the setup.



Once you check for mail for the first time, you will be prompted for your password. Enter your email address password in the Password field and click the box Remember password for this personality if you do not wish to be prompted every time you check mail.
